About Me:I was born and raised in Goode, Virginia, a small rural community in Central Virginia. I am a recent graduate of Radford University in Radford, Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Environmental Studies and a minor in Communications as well as a certificate in Sustainability and Environmental Studies.
My interest in Environmental Science started from an early age. Beginning as a toddler I spent most of my time outdoors exploring. Once I became old enough I joined Girl Scouts and remained an active member for a period of ten years. Upon graduation, I received the Triumph Award that presented me with a lifetime membership. In the summer of 2016, prior to my senior year of high school, I was one of ten girls from all over the United States accepted to a destination conservation experience as the first all female trail crew for the Student Conservation Association in Shenandoah National Park. This extraordinary experience propelled my desire to study environmental biology. |
